Studi Komparasi Partisipasi Jemaat Gereja Kristen Jawa Kebonarum di Blok Tiga dan Blok Enam dalam Pembangunan Jemaat

Abstract

The success of church life lies not only in the participation of the church council but also in the congregation. Therefore, to realize congregational involvement, it is necessary to develop a massive gathering. Researchers used the theory of Jan Hendriks to see how far the participation and development of the church in GKJ Kebonarum between block three and block six. There are five factors proposed by Jan Hendriks that can influence church participation, namely, climate, leadership, structure, tasks/objectives, and conception of identity. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Then the results of the study on the GKJ  Kebonarum congregation in block three and block six show that these two blocks actively participate in church building and development. The difference between the two blocks lies in the relationship between individuals, between the individual and the organization, the level of communication, the views of the church towards individual leadership, and the conception of identity that is lived.

Keberhasilan kehidupan gereja tidak hanya terletak pada partisipasi majelis jemaat tetapi juga jemaatnya. Oleh karena itu, demi mewujudkan partisipasi jemaat diperlukan pembangunan dan pengembangan jemaat yang masif. Peneliti menggunakan teori Jan Hendriks untuk melihat seberapa jauh partisipasi dan perkembangan jemaat yang ada di GKJ Kebonarum antara blok tiga dan blok enam. Ada lima faktor yang dikemukakan oleh Jan Hendriks yang dapat mempengaruhi partisipasi jemaat yaitu, iklim, kepemimpinan, struktur, tugas/tujuan dan konsepsi identitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis. Kemudian hasil penelitian terhadap jemaat GKJ Kebonarum di blok tiga dan blok enam menunjukkan bahwa kedua blok ini aktif  berpartisipasi dalam pembangunandan pengembangan jemaat. Perbedaan dari kedua blok ini ialah terletak pada relasi antar individu, relasi individu dengan organisasi, tingkat komunikasi, pandangan jemaat terhadap kepemimpinan individu dan konsepsi identitas yang dihidupi.
